What is the Patriot Pre-Law Program?
The Patriot Pre-Law Program is George Mason University’s central resource for students exploring law school and legal careers. Housed within the Schar School of Policy and Government, the program is open to all George Mason students, regardless of major or academic college.
Rather than following a single prescribed path, students can participate in the opportunities that best match their interests and goals. Whether you’re just beginning to explore a legal career or actively preparing to apply to law school, the Patriot Pre-Law Program offers flexible ways to build your knowledge, skills, and professional network.
The program brings together a wide range of pre-law opportunities, including the Pre-Law Learning Community, the Patriot Pre-Law Student Group, individual advising, workshops, law school and LSAT preparation resources, networking events, guest speakers, field trips, and connections with law schools and legal professionals.
Students may participate in one opportunity or many, creating a personalized pre-law experience that fits their academic journey. Along the way, they’ll find a supportive community of faculty, advisors, alumni, and fellow students committed to helping them prepare for success in law school and beyond.
