About the Schar Pre-Law Group
Our purpose is to educate pre-law students about what it takes to get into law school and, once there, how to succeed academically. While we are based in the Schar School of Policy and Government, we provide support to pre-law students from all disciplines across Mason’s campuses.
We offer educational and professional opportunities that strengthen students’ pre-law experiences. More specifically, our core values are as follows: INFORM, FACILITATE, and FOSTER.
- Inform members of the law school application process through information sessions, LSAT and personal statement workshops, and recommended classes.
- Facilitate communication with law school admissions experts, opportunities to visit law schools, and events with practicing lawyers and law school professors.
- Foster a community, support system, and inclusive environment for all Mason students interested in pursuing a career in law.
Applications and dues are not required for membership. If you are interested in joining the Schar Pre-Law Group or need more information, please contact the co-presidents (see below).
